San Diego County Schools
In addition to great weather, and almost unlimited recreational opportunities, San Diego County also boasts some of the best schools in all of California.
Schools in California are ranked in deciles from 1 to 10, with 10 being the best.
You'll notice that the better scores are usually found in the more expensive areas. Sometimes you may have to choose between a smaller house with a 10 school or a bigger house with a 7 school. There is no right or wrong answer, it just depends on what's important to you at this stage of your life.

The state publishes their school report annually, called the "Academic Performance Index Report". The scores are listed under the column "2011 Statewide Rank."
